Amazingly clear room-filling sound with surprisingly strong bass for a fairly small and lightweight unit which runs on only 3 AA batteries for up to 48 hours (an AC adapter is also included). Yeah, I know it lacks a remote plus other fancy features – all it has are an on/off button and a volume slide – but, on balance, the quality of the sound and the low price more than make up for the lack of any fancy features. Well worth a look for the budget conscious iPod owner looking for an inexpensive but great sounding set of portable speakers that can also be used as a dock to charge the iPod. Just don’t expect any bells and whistles.

Overall very happy with this item. The sound tone and quality are impressive and very loud. Very good bass response as well. The look is very pleasing and my nano 4th gen fits perfect in the slot. I would have like a few more features, but for what I use it for it is not needed. I recommend this speaker dock for sure…

I wanted a small but good quality unit for my IPOD Nano so I could use it by the bed and easily move it outdoors. This is the perfect solution. It’s got excellent sound, is easy to use and takes up almost no room. Compared to the Boise it’s the deal of the century. So far it is better than I thought, and exactly what I needed.

Great product, great price. Sound is very good. Some previous reviews have issues with the sound quality. Certain audio philes may have issues, but for what the product is, portable, small, well made, the sound quality can easily fill a room with minimal distortion and full quality. Carries bass tones well and doesn’t have the painful squeaky treble of some units.

My daughter saves all her music on her Ipod and her computer. Whenever she visits, she has to find some computer speakers to hook up to get the music cranking. It usually does not work well. I got her the AlTec speakers and she is very pleased. They are simple to use, easy to transport and gives her the volume she needs at her parties. The reasonable price makes it a great choice.
