This, alongside the Sky Ball and possibly that pogo stick that is so effective it hurts people, is the greatest toy ever created.

    * Bucky Balls find each other.

    * You don’t play with Bucky Balls… they play with you.

    * Throw out the Bucky Balls’ carrying case — they can be bracelets for chrissake. Wear them with you!

    * Bucky Balls pass the turing test.

    * Good for painful fake earrings. Don’t let them work their way into your ears. ENT specialists are expensive, esp. if you need an immediate appointment.

If I may echo Amazon’s WARNING: These are small magnetic balls. Swallow two for a fun sensation. Three for pain, four for some more. Five if you’re over being alive.

My husband bought these from thinkgeek where they are a bit cheaper. They are too fun. We’ve found that we end up fiddling with them in most social situations, and they are a great conversation starter. The earring effect is neat looking but very painful. I would definitely suggest keeping these away from small children, pets, and electronics.

I got a set of these as a present for someone. I couldn’t resist the buy 2 get 1 free offer (3 sets for $60 shipped), so I decided to try a set for myself. It wasn’t too long before I broke open the other unallocated set so I could have more balls.

Incredibly addictive to fiddle around with. Everyone that sees them has to fool around with them. Great to sit on your desk – just don’t slack off too much from work, as you will keep picking them up.

These are the coolest magnetic balls. They are incredibly strong. One ball can hold the weight of the entire 216 ball set. They are great to pass the time and come up with new patterns.

They are polarized (they have a positive and negative) so manipulating them into shapes can take a gentle hand and patience as you work them to rotate around.

I love making the cube but it takes a little practice.

They are a little pricey but they are so much fun in their own quirky way. There is something nice about the way they feel as your hand works them into new shapes.

I would caution that my 10 year-old son had too much fun with them the first day and lost one of the balls. Since they are magnetic and small, it is almost impossible to find.
