They stay cold and the kids like them. Got burned by SIGG so was glad to find something cute and not poisenous.

We have owned this bottle for about 2 months now and mold is growing under the lip of the bottle where the plastic attaches to the stainless steel. This is not an area we can clean throughly and I am throwing the bottle away. For $20 I expect more.

Great product. My 17 month old was always stealing my Camelbak, but I was afraid he would swallow the bite valve so I bought him this one and the BPA-free plastic one. He loves them. The valve on this bottle is still a bite valve, but it does not come off the cap like the adult versions do–it is actually inserted through the cap from the bottom so he can chew all day on it and it won’t come out. My son won’t use other kinds of similar bottles because you have to tip them to use them. He used straw sippy cups so I wanted to find a straw water bottle for him. So far, this has been quite durable and we take it everywhere. Good, safe product. Other reviewers said they have trouble cleaning this bottle, cap, and valve. I am not sure why. The valve and straw are easily removed for cleaning.

I bought this kids bottle for my 3-1/2 yr old daughter. She got to pick it out and of course chose the mermaid one. My daughter was not a big water drinker with anything I’ve tried until now. She takes it everywhere with her and she wants it refilled often. The novelty of it has not wore off yet. It cleans pretty well so far with the valve brushes. I have only put water in it. It fits snug in her car seat booster cup holder, too.

The bite valve on this is different than the adult version, and is a bit more difficult to clean. However, it is also more kid friendly and not a choking hazard, so it is definitely worth the extra effort. My 3-year-old niece loves her CamelBak, and doesn’t try to steal sips from mine anymore!
