I was waiting with anticipation for the arrival of this printer, and can say to all readers that it was worth every second. We have a small studio doing portraits and nature photography, and it has been in use in our studio for about one month with great results. This printer produces professional quality prints without effort. The operation is smooth and competent. We have fed all types of papers through it from Canon, Kodak, Ilford, HP and Staples. The output is seamless and consistent, and the 13 x 19 prints are breathtaking. I am not a nuts and bolts type of person, so I cannot speak to the specifications. I am results-oriented and have an eye for what is acceptable or outstanding. I can state that I am very pleased with this product.

Got this last week and it’s tremendous! I’m printing on Canon Pro and Plus papers, as well as Ilford gallerie papers. They’re all breathtaking. My friends and family think they’re professionally printed. I’m really happy with it. Had a Canon pixma i6600. Not even in the same category. I’m so glad I upgraded. Will print up to 13×19. It’s fast too! But it is gigantic!!! I absolutely highly recommend it!

I’ve had this printer for 6 weeks and it performs great. I used the front loader to print on canvas. Easy to follow directions made this simple. The prints on canvas turned out very sharp. Majority of my printing has been 12×16 or 11×14 and the colors have been sharp and bright. The only concern is the reds are strong! I think I’m not used to the extra red ink tank and how it contributes to the overall colors.

Very nice printer. This is not the printer I was looking for, but I only bought it because it’s Made in Japan. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have bought it. This was an impulse purchase. Printer is really big and weighs about 30 pounds, but I’ll get used to it.

Delivery of the printer was fast. The first thing you notice when taking it out of the box is the size, 30″ wide. The instructions are easy to read and very complete and once hooked up you’re ready to print.
There are many printing options, depending on the paper type, to get the best results. After a few practice prints I found the the quality and detail to be outstanding. I’ve printed 4 x6, 81/2 X 11 and 13 X 19 with complete satisfaction.

I purchased the Canon PIXMA Pro9000 based on consumer reviews just like this one. This photo printer has exceeded my expectations. The quality is SUPERB, and there is NO drying time and you don’t have to worry about getting fingerprints on your photos – ever! I was a little hesitant about the price and the fact that I wasn’t sure if it was Vista compatible. The set-up was easy and it IS Vista compatible. I also LOVE the fact that you can actually see how much ink you have left in the ink tanks. I’ve printed at least two dozen 8 x 10s since I received it and still have plenty of ink left in the tanks. And, because there are 8 ink tanks, you only have to replace the ones that are empty – not all of them at once. Believe me, this printer is WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I printed some 13 x 19 photos to try the maximum size out shortly after I got this, and they were spectacular. Color reproduction is outstanding. The printer was easy to set up, except it’s REALLY big – required some rearrangement from the spot where my prior printers were. Reasonably fast on printing in color – also have done some newsletters in black and white and that worked well too. Overall an outstanding printer.

The Canon PIXMA Pro 9000 Photo Printer produces the best quality large format photo, up to 13″ by 19″, that I have ever seen. The color definition is excellent. The speed of the printing process is extraordinary. It is flexible in terms of print media that can be used. I have had many photo printers and this machine tops them all by a wide margin.

I use a digital SLR, Photoshop & Painter X to manipulate my photography. I have been very underwhelmed by the various online print services. The last large print I received was the last straw. Now was the time to take the plunge to buy a printer. I did my homework and decided, with the rebate Canon was offering, this was the printer for me. I have been blown away by the prints I have been producing. I had no idea inkjet printing had advanced so far. The prints I have produced with the Pro9000 are by far superior to the online printers. I have been using the different Canon papers and can only say I love this printer and so far, have no regrets.
