Since I havent tried these in wet environment yet, I cannot write review of thier waterproof properties. Instead I’ll review its indoor use.

I tried these as an alternative to the expensive in-ear isolation earphones.

Using the earphones with the silicone tips blocked most of the noise, and with music playing background noiSe practically disappeared — even blaring TV surround sound speakers in the next room.

I found a better fit by turning the headband upside down so the frame is below the ears instead of over the ears. Also push the headphones in the ears so they make a nice seal and adjusting the graphic equalizer on my PC sound settings made a diference in the tone qualities of the music.

The coiled wire is was way too short and I used a basic 6 foot headphone extention wire to use on the computer.

I purchased these headphones as a Christmas gift to complete the H20 Audio set for the 2nd generation shuffle for my boyfriend. The headphones only had sound coming out of one side so he had to exchange them locally. It wasnt a big deal. Just embarassing for me… lost a little faith.

The behind the head band is to small, the earplugs don’t stay properly and the sound quality deteriorates to very poor the longer you are in the water. I wouldn’t buy them again.

overall, for the price i paid from the company and sound quality, it is definitely worth it. compared to the previous generation, these headphones are completely waterproof even if the ear buds fall off. I definitely recommend this product. Just a heads up, it will take once or twice to get accustomed to; keep your ears completely dry before inserting the headphones to swim; and the fit will take some adjustments (i had to flip them upside down to fit my smaller ears -_-)

I have trouble keeping the water out of my ears. I had the original H2o headphones, and those were a disaster; water constantly got in, which cut the sound completely. These H3 headphones are better, but not great. Some days I just can’t keep the water out. To make them work, I have to run a line of wax from wax earplugs around the earpieces (this is recommended in the manual). This is a sloppy solution; the wax does not always fit well, and it wears out and has to be replaced every few swims. Anyway, these are pretty frustrating, for me anyway. It seems that other people don’t have the same problems with getting them to seal, but my patience is worn out. I am ready to try another brand.
