I bought this saddle to replace the Bontrager Nebula saddle that came with my Trek 7.2 FX. The shipping weight on the box was 3 lbs, 7 lbs less than stated here, but still THREE TIMES the weight of the Nebula saddle.

The gel padding is easily twice that of my standard saddle and the saddle suspension system does a great job of smoothing rides over rough roads. Now, pot-hole filled roads that were painful to roll over in the sitting position can be taken on the saddle, but not completely comfortably.

The nose of the saddle is as wide at the tip as my stock saddle, but what does the Cloud-9 in on long rides is the taper, which starts much sooner than stock and results in more energy required from you going into each stroke. On a 10-mile ride, I didn’t notice chafing as others claimed but the saddle shape annoyed me a little bit.

The saddle is easily twice as thick as a stock saddle, the elastomer springs look goofy, the sitbone contour gets really hot and didn’t reduce saddle soreness as I expected.

I highly reccomend this saddle if you’re taking short trips less than 5 miles on your bike and need to smooth out your commute, but I wouldn’t reccomend it for fitness/distance rides. I plan on returning it or hocking it at the flea market.

My next candidate will feature a cutout for my sitbones to keep things cool and comfortable and features a thin, straight nose but I’ll stick to my stock saddle for now.

I have been looking for a comfortable seat for my daughter and this one seems to fit for what I am looking for. The reviews are very encouraging and for this reason I will be purchasing it.

I am a 5′6″ 120 lb. female. The seat that came with my Giant bicycle caused pain in my hip and down my leg after a short time of riding. I purchased the Schwinn Pillowtop at Target after reading good reviews about it but it did not work for me either. The ridges in the seat were very uncomfortable, and the nose of the seat was too thick causing rubbing. I decided to try the Sunlite Cloud-9 Comfort Gel for Ladies, and it was definitely a keeper. It didn’t perfectly fit the clamps on my bicycle, but my husband was able to squeeze it into the grooves with one of his tools. The Sunlite provides comfort for as long as I ride, and no pain afterward. I am a person who rides no more than 5 miles at a time. I would definitely recommend this seat to anyone in my size range.

I replaced the seat that my bike came with this. I find it very comfortable, it’s well padded and wide.

I bought this seat for my granddaughter because of my experience with a Cloud-9 seat I bought a year ago. Both are the most comfortable seats we have ever used. They came from Niagara Cycle which has consistently been top supplier.
