This drive is sold as being for both Mac and Windows. In fact it does come with Windows software on it, and (very brief) printed Windows instructions. However, the reality is baffling. It installs itself as a read-only CD drive, requiring special (included) software – which does not in fact recognize the drive – before it’ll work as a hard drive.
The time I’ve wasted on it already is worth more than the price of the drive.
I should mention I’m an expert Windows user and a software professional.
I hope, but have not checked, that the user experience is better on a Mac.
